Jim vs. Weighted Pull-ups, 40m Dashes

This week got off to an ambiguous start.

Weighted Pull-ups
25 x 3
35 x 3
45 x 2
55 x 2
65 x 1
70 x 1
75 x 1 (?)

That question mark is because I was using pull-up handles rather than a bar (the only open rack at Teagle was the one with handles), so I’m not sure I got my chin high enough.

Then I did twelve 40m dashes, resting 20 seconds between each one. I didn’t have a good way to time the individual runs, so I just timed the whole thing and got 5:43. Not really helpful without knowing if I really rested 20 seconds each time.

Like I said: ambiguous.

Jim vs. Back Squats, Pinochet

This marked my second week of the back squat linear progression, and it went well.

140 x 5
140 x 5
140 x 5
140 x 5
140 x 5

Form felt good, so not much else to say.

“Pinochet”
AMRAP in 4 minutes of:
10 air squats
30m sprint

OK, so this was supposed to be a 40m sprint, but I forgot to measure it online beforehand and had to eyeball it; near as I can tell from checking afterward (and it’s tough because the online map is missing some landmarks), I came up 10m short. In any case, I got through nine rounds plus two more squats.  I’ll have to try this one with the right distance sometime, and see how it goes.
