Went for another strength-plus-midrange-metcon day, and pretty much nailed it.
Deadlift
250 x 3

Good showing, there, with set #3 being 90% of my 3RM. Then a metcon that I didn’t do so well on last time.
Three rounds for time of:
25lb dumbbell thrusters x 15
sit-ups x 25
As you can see, I took my two-year-old advice to lower the weight on the thrusters slightly. Result? Not only did I finish, but I finished in 5:42. The difference is kind of crazy, and now I’m not sure if I should bump the weight back up, or just keep pushing the speed until this is no longer a Mid-range and becomes Nasty, Brutish, and Short.
Of course, knowing me, I just won’t do the workout at all for two more years.
