Felt much better today. Was it the day off? Who can say? In any case, I got to do the shoulder press I’d meant to do on Monday.

125 is, best as I can tell, my current 3RM. Between this and the time in January I did a 5×3 workout with that weight, I know I can go higher next week.
Then I went to do some rowing, implementing some of the tips I got from this amazing video Judd recommended. It requires a subscription, and even if you are signed up I second Judd’s advice: skip the interview, and just watch the part when she’s showing someone how to row. It’s great stuff.
It was a lot to take in, so I’m not surprised my time on a 500m row was only 2:04. Of course, that’s only eight seconds off of my PR, and I was trying several new things. I’ll watch the vid again before my next rowing session, too.
